Dear sir,
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. Your site has completly changed the way I train. In only 6 weeks I can see changes I have not seen in ages. Living in Egypt means im only exposed to the mainstream muscle mags. Your site is truly a breath of fresh air. I look better, feel stronger, and the shorter workouts afford me more time with my family.
Best regards

I got my personal trainers cert. a few years back, but after a couple of lame jobs at some "glitzy" health clubs I decided that no one would ever take HIT as seriously as I did. I just recently started training myself at a different gym (minus the neon and glitz) and I am making better gains training properly at age 33 than I have in the last 13 years combined! I have better definition WITH NO CARDIO!! and I'm stronger than ever. Well, it seems that other people are as sick of spinning their wheels as I was. I have gotten SIX new clients in the past week alone from people simply watching me make progress while they stood still, and they were excited to try this new "slow, controlled HIT workout" I have my own PT web site and I have linked your web site to it and always make it recommended viewing for my clients!! In short I just wanted to thank you guys for de-mystifying the whole gym experience, and for freely giving of your years of combined knowledge so we don't have to fumble in the dark for years on end before making any progress! I also bought Matt's book, and continue to recommend it to all of my clients! (it's $15.00 on Amazon.com)
Thanks again!!!!

This is the best info I've seen regarding weight training and advice. Before reading the info here, I was following programs that were geared to duping me into buying supplements. I have seen the light! After making very little gains in strength on those programs (as well as throwing away my money on various supplements) I found this site and have become a believer. The only supplement I take is a good multivitamin and the occasional protein drink, otherwise it's all just good, wholesome food. I do a split routine upperbody / lowerbody for time purposes. Basic exercises 1-2 sets each depending on the exercise, adding reps or a small amount of wt each workout, always looking to do a little better each time. After reviewing my training log for the past few weeks, my strength gains have been nice and steady. I see people in the gym doing many multiple sets for the same body part and can only shake my head now that I have experienced results from HIT. I also notice that almost no-one keeps a log and very few people seem to sweat or work hard. I wonder that this isn't the norm in our society(or just the gym I belong to!) Oh well ..thanks again for the great site and valuable information. Keep it up !!
Two years ago I was 158 pounds of undistinguished pencil-necked geek at a gangly 6'-2". Found your web site, read that wonderful FAQ and never looked back. I just broke 205 pounds last week and never felt better. I'm 22 and now I'm begging to make some real progression in my workouts by following you and your fellow authors' advice. My friends can't believe I've changed as much as I have with only a couple hours a week in the gym!
You probably get notes of thanks from guys like me all the time, but I still wanted to give you my tip of hat as well. Thanks.

Dear Editor,
My name is Paul Sorace and I am a "Hiter". I just wanted to compliment Rob's column. Although he can be very "direct", I completely agree with just about everything he writes on. I particularly agree with his comments about Mr. Stone and the NSCA. Anyone I have encountered with this cert. is brainwashed. There is just no talking to these people. I am certified (CCS) with the NSPA. You may have heard of this association. The founder and president is John Philbin. He is the assistant strength coach for the Washington Redskins and has worked with Dan Riley for many years now. The NSPA has always promoted HIT. That is one of the main reasons I became certified with them. I am actually now New Jersey's regional coordinator for the NSPA. I now do the certification seminars and testing. Anyway, the director of the NSPA used to be associated and certified with the NSCA. Beth told me that they have always had ONE way of doing things and that there is NO other way with them. This I feel is their downfall. Hearing Rob mention such experts as Jones, Leistner, Brycki, and Carpenelli is very refreshing. The facility I consult for has always promoted HIT style workouts. In fact, all of the members are highly influenced to train this way. Reading what Rob has to say just reinforces what we do. His column is very informative and fun to read. Keep up the good work!

I absolutely LOVE your sight, and it definitely is the new best thing since sliced bread. You guys are always coming up with new ideas that are always great. I have been training HIT for 9 months and have had heaps better gains than ever before. My mates who never used to go to the gym are now all following in my footsteps and have joined gyms, and are also frequent visitors to this MAGNIFICENT website. I wish the guys that answer our questions worked their full-time and got paid so I could bombard them with the tonnes of questions I've got, but I respect that they volunteer their time, therefore I screen my own questions that I send. I am so motivated now that I've decided to attend school and become a personal trainer so I can help lead other people in the right direction. I wish I had known about HIT years ago, and didn't waste my time on other routines. I hope I can help other people. I love the FAQ's page you have now, it's just BOnza. Their is one thing I would like to know though. Their is a section called something like "Who trains the HIT way....", and it states two guys by the names of Glen Scrivener and OJ Brigrance. They did a 6 week program which included 12-14 exercises of 1 set each. It was designed by Jeff Reinbold and Kim Wood. It says the program was showed in some newspapers and TV shows, but the program wasn't on the webpage. Do you know what it could possibly be, cos I want to give it a crack. I'd like to try a new program, cos it continues to make going to the gym fun, different and enjoyable.
You guys are the best. Merry XMAS and a happy year 2000!!!!!!!!
The internet has truly made the world a global village. The advise that you gave sounds both logical and reasonable. I will apply the information diligently and get back to you about my results in the future. A sincere thank you.
