Iron History 
The Harry Schaffron dumbell at York Barbell Hall of Fame length 23.5"  sphere diameter 13" so sphere circumference 40.82" the handle length is ONLY 3.75" and the handle diameter is 2.42" (the original Inch is 2.38") Notice the sharp edges involved for a large hand trying to cram into that space! The original Inch 172; notice the hole in the center of the handle, which has been filled in with something hard in texture. Also notice how the handle meets the globes- sharp distinction compared to how the replicas are 'rounded' where the handle meets globes. Joe Roark photo.
